Why capable professionals stall in corporates

Most qualifications prepare people for the work.

But they rarely prepare professionals for the unwritten dynamics inside corporates:

influence

visibility

decision power

leadership perception

These forces often determine who progresses — and who remains overlooked.

Understanding them earlier can change a career.

What this newsletter explores

1

how influence actually moves inside corporates

2

how visibility shapes career progression

3

how leadership decisions are formed

4

how professionals position themselves strategically

Clear thinking about power, influence and leadership progression.

I'm Linda Reddy

I spent 30 years inside global corporates, across multiple industries. I reached C-suite level in my late 30s.

I played the games that got me there.
I watched those same games pass over high performers, stall careers without explanation, and quietly remove people who never saw it coming.
I watched credit get taken from those who earned it, and capable people excluded from the rooms where decisions were made.
At points in my career, I was played — and it cost me.
That experience — from all three positions — is what I write and speak about.
I didn’t study corporate power from the outside. I lived it, used it, and was used by it. What I identified across those 30 years are the patterns never taught in any qualification and never spoken about:
This platform exists to make those visible.
